OMG Is Obama the Antichrist?!!!!

Is Obama the Antichrist?

The simplest answer to this question is absolutely no. But let us dig into what the fanatical religious people are saying.
Normally at the sight of tragedy, wars, a turn of the century, or any unexplained phenomenon (i.e. hurricane Katrina), the “end of the world” conspiracy lunatics start chattering. It never fails.

 

Remember Y2K? The year of 2000 was a scary time for humanity. We thought that world was going to be over based on the prophecies and religious theories of the lunatics whom we take so seriously.  So we went out and got bottled water, stocked up on canned goods and prepared for disaster.  The media kept pumping us with the fuel of disaster and we were quite fearful.
And then it happened. We watched the clock wind down on 1999. We prayed, we hesitated, we waited… And then… The year of 2000 began just like every year prior to it. No arrival of Christ, no end of the world, nothing… Just the beginning of yet another great day…

I could name tragedies for the next 3 days that have happened in this decade like 911, the tsunami, the VA tech tragedy… Should I go on? For every tragedy that goes on there is some person (it may be you) that thinks it’s ok to blame God or call the tragedy end of the world “evidence”.
One of the newest ridiculous accusations is that President Obama is the “antichrist”. As stupid as I think this is, let's address it. You might have heard the following ridiculous arguments:

1. “The Antichrist will be loved by the world”
2. “The Antichrist will present himself as a messiah”
3. “According to The Book of Revelations the anti-Christ is: A man, in his 40's, of MUSLIM descent, who will deceive the nations with persuasive language, and have a MASSIVE Christ-like appeal....the prophecy says that people will flock to him and he will promise false hope and world peace, and when he is in power, will destroy everything …”

Now we could go on for days, but let’s just stop here and address these accusations point by point, thus to inform ourselves properly.

 

“The Antichrist will be loved by the world”

Hmmm…. Obama’s approval ratings 65% (by a long shot, not loved by everybody!) Let’s look at some of our other Presidents approval ratings:
Roosevelt: 88%
Eisenhower: 72%
Kennedy: 73%
Johnson: 75%
Carter: 35% (but really…. He sucked!)
Regan: 62%
G. H. Bush: 57%
Clinton: 55%
G. W. Bush: Came in to office 85%, left office 23%... Ouch!
So Obama’s approval ratings are average at best. If you turn on any conservative talk radio show like our friend Rush Limbaugh or Sean Hannity then you’ll quickly understand how much of the world loves Obama! So this accusation is totally bogus!

 

“The Antichrist will present himself as a messiah”

Really??? Some people actually think they can make a valid argument out of saying that because Obama is a good public speaker he’s “The Antichrist”. C’mon people. Obama’s history and persona is way too flawed to ever be taken seriously as a messiah. His admitting to using illegal drugs as a teen, his admitting to having several beers, or his admitting to having a hard time quitting smoking, all of these add up to a man who understands that he is an imperfect human being. Not at all a messiah!

First off, anyone that puts an “s” on the end of the book of Revelation isn’t that astute in biblical studies. This was an email that was circulated around to MILLIONS of people. Crazy stuff but lets pick it apart:

1. The book of Revelation doesn’t mention the anti-Christ whatsoever. In chapter 13 it does mention an 8 headed beast that looked like a leopard, had the feet of a bear, and the mouth of a lion. (Revelation 13:2) --- I don’t know… That doesn’t really describe Barack does it???
2. Of Muslim descent??? Now that’s just flat out racist! Not to mention that when the Bible was written the Muslim faith wasn’t even invented yet!  Again… Bogus!!!
3. Ok, Just to cut this short. This statement is not in the bible. This is 100% false, nonsense, BS, whatever you want to call it!

 

Calling Barack Obama “The Antichrist” would have to count as the ultimate political smear. I mean, accusing a politician of accepting bribes or cheating on taxes is one thing; naming him as the "Seven-Headed Beast of Revelation"  is political bashing on a whole new level! Furthermore, only a Christian who hasn’t studied the bible or an individual who is simply moronic would believe this sack of lies!
Though it is unclear what, besides being charismatic and popular, Barack Obama has done to earn this dishonor. George W. Bush must be thrilled to see a newcomer wearing the ungodly mantle. Obama joins an extensive roster of modern luminaries branded with a "666," including Adolf Hitler, Vladimir Putin, Pope Benedict XVI, Bill Gates, and Barney the Dinosaur.

On another note, the Anti christ issue as stated in your writings are way out there, so far out there that it's hardly worth my time!!!

Besides, we are supposed to have seperation between church and state anyway!!! So wy is it even an issue if he is anti or pro!!!
